DESCRIPTION:I’m very excited to be presenting at The Amsterdam Excel Summit for a second year in a row. This time I will focus on many different techniques of building the most important dimension table – The Calendar Table. As the Amsterdam Excel Summit will be split into two tracks\, this session will be in the Data Modeling track. And every data modeler knows\, there is no data model without a Calendar Table. \nThe Time of Your Life\n99\,9% of Excel Data Models rely on a good Calendar. This session will cover a few techniques on how to create a dynamic calendar in your Power Pivot Data Model and explain why a good Time Dimension (Calendar) is probably the most important thing in any Excel or Power BI Data Model. This session will also feature some time intelligence calculations in Power Pivot that are only available if you have a good Calendar. \n\nCreating a Calendar in Excel\nCreating a Calendar with Power Query\nCreating a Calendar with Power Pivot\nThe dos and don’ts of Calendar building\n\nI will also be presenting a session called The Greatest Sales Report In The World during the Masterclass on the 8th of June.
